It's a really early spring in Vancouver. The Olympics are half-over, and we're thinking a walk around Buntzen Lake would be the perfect antidote to the madding crowd. While looking for a map to Buntzen, I found this great website.
It's got a lot of Vancouver area trails on it I hadn't tried before; I want to work my way through them one by one. About a quarter are trails that we've done in the past, some more than once (like The Chief). Nearly half of them are trails whose walking time is 2 hours or less - we can probably do more than one of those in a day, if we group them by region.
It's missing a few as well, that I'd like to do this year; like the beautiful but brutal Hanes Vales Trail.
But my general goal is to do them all, and briefly blog about each one. Starting with Buntzen Lake.
